Meet Brett Lee
Age: 33
Height: 186.5 cm
Known throughout the Cricketing world as one of the fastest and most exciting pace bowlers to play the game, Brett has recorded bowling at speeds of over 160km an hour.
A Little Bit of History
Brett was born and raised in Wollongong, New South Wales. Unsurprisingly, sport was a shared passion in the Lee Family. With so many backyard cricket matches between him and his brother Shane, batting balls over the neighbour's roof was a regular activity.
Brett played his first real game of cricket at age nine. His talents quickly emerged, progressing him through the cricket ranks, gaining selection for NSW at the age of 21, and for Australia at just 24.
A Wicket Score
Brett was bound to be a star. In 1999, Brett debuted for Australia in the Boxing Day Test against India finishing with figures of 5/47. Now, Brett is Australia's fourth highest Test wicket taker, picking up 308 wickets from 75 Tests - no easy achievement! As if that weren't enough, he also holds a limited-overs record, with 317 wickets from 183 ODIs. His pace bowling, combined with his ability as a hard-hitting tail-end batsman, make him a roaring crowd pleaser throughout Australia and the world.
All-Round Success
Outside of cricket, Brett's love of music sees him devote hours to writing music and playing guitar. And, when time allows, he loves to relax with a spot of fishing with his family. Recently, Brett has grown his success with the launch of his own men's fashion label, underwear and sleepwear range.
A Proud Dad
Brett lives in Sydney and loves to spend time at home with his son Preston. While Brett is an enthusiastic and motivated sportsman, he remains a grounded and dedicated dad describing his family as a 'tightly-knit unit.'
