Brett gained selection for NSW at the age of 21 and for Australia at just 24. In his debut game for Australia, the Boxing Day Test against India in 1999, Brett bowled an amazing 5/47.

Weet-Bix caught up with Brett during a recent break. Here is just a little of what he shared with us:

Q: Do you have a favourite movie?
I don’t watch very many movies. I like to be on the go.

Q: Who would play you in the film of your life?
Leonardo Di Caprio.

Q: How do you like to spend your free time?
I have a farm near my hometown of Wollongong and I like getting down there for a break. I spend a lot of time writing music.

I also like fishing with my son Preston.The biggest fish I’ve caught so far was a 75cm Kingfish near Luna Park in Sydney.

Q: Which living person do you most admire?
My father.

Q: What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Never expect anything; you have to work for it.

Q: What is your favourite food when you’re not in training?
My favourite meal is Mum’s lasagne.

Q: How do you like your Weet-Bix and how many do you do?
I eat 7 Weet-Bix with cold milk and fresh fruits like strawberries and banana.
