Registrations that are illegible, incomplete, or that contain spelling errors may be deemed invalid. Students may still be eligible to register after the school prizes closing date, however, their registration will not contribute towards the school total in the school prize competition. The winning school/s must take the prize during the prize period as outlined below.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected registration forms.
The Event location and date, and the date that registrations close for each Event are as follows:
There will be 2 prizes awarded for each Event that takes place. Prizes must be redeemed within 2009 at a time determined by the Promoter in consultation with the winning schools.
Prize 1:
the school with the most Registered Students in the Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRY-athlon for a particular Event, as at the School Prizes Registration Closing Date for that Event, based on the number of Registered Students who provided the name of their school at time of registration, will win the prize.
Prize 2:
the school with the most Registered Students in the Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRY-athlon for a particular Event, based on the number of Registered Students who provided the name of their school at time of registration, divided by the number of students enrolled at that school who are aged 7-15 yrs inclusive, will win the prize.
A school may not win more than one (1) prize per Event.
In order to determine the winner(s) of prize(s) 1 and/or 2, if there is a tie between two or more schools, the tied schools will be notified following the registration close date for their Event of the tie, and will be required to answer in writing (email accepted) in fifty (
50)
words or less why their school should win the Prize. Submissions close at 5pm on the third working day immediately after they have been notified of the tie. The best answer, as determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion, will be deemed the overall winner. Judging will be based on literary and creative merit.
The prize is a Sanitarium Weet-Bix Breakfast of Champions held at the winning school with an Australian top sport star attending. Each prize is valued at up to $ 3,500. The Australian top sport star will be determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. The Sanitarium breakfast includes: breakfast cereals, So Good soy milk and dairy milk plus bowls and spoons provided by Sanitarium Health Food Company. The winning schools are responsible for providing a safe place for kids to have breakfast plus any other items required on the day.
If the school selects the Breakfast prize they will be required to book their Sanitarium Breakfast with the Promoter on a school day within 8 weeks from the event date. The Sanitarium Breakfast will be conducted between 8am and 9am local time and will be for all students aged 7-15 years of age inclusive. A Sanitarium representative will assist in coordinating the Sanitarium Breakfast. The Sanitarium Breakfast must take place at a mutually agreed time between Sanitarium and the school.
The winning schools for each prize will be contacted by phone. Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize values. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification.
